Coach Diane Baia first picked up a blade in 1982 under the tutelage of three-time Olympian Elaine Cheris and fencing master Sam Cheris. She is the owner and head coach of Lionheart Fencing Academy, as well as a member of both the United States Fencing Association and the United States Fencing Coaches Association.
