Dear Lionheart Fencers and Friends,

As most of you know, some wonderful changes have been occurring in my life. I have met the man of my dreams—Philip Hale—and we will be getting married on September 17 of this year.  But there will be a tinge of the bittersweet to this happy occasion, namely because I will be moving to Chicago and will be unable to continue to teach Lionheart classes in Crystal Lake.  I know how much fencing has grown to mean to many of you, and it pains me to think that my happiness might be the cause of some sadness to you.  Thus, I have been in contact with the people at the Barrington Fencing Club—the club nearest to us—and they are looking forward to welcoming those of you who would like to continue your fencing studies there.  You can reach them at: 847-381-4800.  And if you are interested in taking your fencing skills to the competitive level, you can also contact Peter Habala, the owner and head coach of Redstar Fencing Club at 773-349-3074.  Peter gives private lessons each Tuesday night at the aforesaid Barrington Fencing Club and would be very happy to give your personal instruction.

I would like everyone in the Lionheart family to know how very honored I feel to have worked with you.  Fencers are among the very best people on the planet—people of honor and courage and dignity—and you are the best of the best.  I am going to miss you all so much!
