The First Annual IFC Picnic
July 8th, in Naperville, Illinois

Fencing Clubs aren't all about fencing.  Sometimes they are about sharing, caring, beer, brats and bull whips.  Pete McCann graciously held the picnic in his own back yard.  Bob Baldwin provided the entertainment by giving bull whip lessons.  See below for results of that.  Chris Karll crushed everybody in a no-holds-bared Badminton contest.  Later he tells us that in his family, Badminton is a cut throat sport.  Figures.  Still, we all had a great time.

IFC Bull Whip Results:

Don Badowski

Head um up. Move um out. Cut um in. Cut um out. Rawhide!Wrapped whip around my head twice.  Not once on purpose.

Ina Harizanova And she looks so good holding an Epee.Put three inch welt on her left arm.
Chris Karll In my world, we eat punks like you for breakfast.Smacked himself below the wasteline twice.  True to his nature, he didn't cry out in pain after the first one, but kept going so he could hurt himself again.  Way to go, Chris!
Steve Sacco I keep telling you guys. It's all in the wrist.Got the whip crackin' in just a few trys.  Then got progressively worse.
Pete McCann Tried a few times, came close to taking his head off, then went back to the grill.  Smart Move.

He says he had the thing crackin' after only two tries.  And maybe he did.  But no one was sober enough to remember.
Bob Baldwin Made it look sooo easy.  Impressed the neiborhood kids with his firecracker like sounds.  Even helped Pete trim the backyard tree.  I don't know that Pete wanted help with that, but he got it anyway.
