The 2000 Midwest Sectionals
April 15th & 16th, in Grays Lake, IL
Last year, I took second place in Men's Epee at the Midwest Sectionals.
This year I only managed 14th. Why? Well, I was tense, nervous,
exhausted, coming back from a lung infection, and worst of all, there where a lot of great
fencers this year. Our Man Chris Karll took 3rd in Men's Epee. Our Girl
Kristin Rill took 4th in Women's Sabre.
My thanks to Bob Baldwin, who remembered to bring a camera when I
didn't.

Bob
Chidel crushed me in my second DE 15-7. Why would I post a picture
of me getting crushed? To remind me to relax. |

Either Pete McCann's dog has died, or he lost his DE bout.
Coach Ina is there to console him. She loves dogs.
That's why she coaches us. |
We finally get to see one of those Lexon Masks that people
have been making such a fuss about. This is the guy Chris lost to in the Semi-Final. |
