Objectives: |
Each sport season includes periods of general preparation, a competitive period and
a transitional period. The pre-competitive clinic was designed
to address the general preparation period. This clinic will focus on the
first stage of the competitive period and the pre-competitive stage. We will
work on specific speed and endurance skills for fencing. There will be drills on
technical, tactical and mental preparation. Individual lessons may also
be available.

Schedule:

- 9:00 a.m.-9:10 am - Introduction
- 9:15 a.m.-10:00 am - Lecture on the specifics of
the pre-competitive stage.
- 10:00 am -11:45 am - Activities: Footwork and specific speed exercises
for fencing.
- 11:45 am -12:30 pm - Lunch
- 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm - Mental preparation.
- 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm - Tournament, drills and individual lessons.

Ina has coached fencing and swimming for over 10 years now. She has
developed athletes to compete at the fencing and swimming Olympic
Trials.
