The Illinois Fencers Club presents:
A Fencing Conditioning Clinic  (All 3 weapons)

Date: Sunday, September 6, 2008, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: Lions Park Recreation Center

Showers and lockers are available. There are restaurants in the area for lunch.

Price: $75/70 for Students & Veterans over 50

Objectives: Each fencing season includes a preliminary period of preparation, a competitive period and a transitional period. This first clinic is designed to address the general preparation period. It is built around general conditioning, planning the fencing season, and mental preparation pertaining to the preliminary stage of training. It will include footwork, blade work, conditioning session, individual lessons.
Schedule:
  • 9:00 am - 9:10 am — Introduction
  • 9:10 am - 9:30 am — Planning the season
  • 9:30-11:45 am — Footwork, Conditioning Session (Speed), Individual Lessons
  • 11:45 am - 12:30 pm — Lunch
  • 12:30-3:00 pm — Mental Preparation, Conditioning Session (Strength), Tournament
