The IFC is offering an Competitive Fencing Class for
Children, ages 10 to 14. This class is for those who focus on training to competing in local and national fencing events. Participants will progress in their knowledge of
footwork, blade work, fencing rules and strategies. They will continue to
improve their bouting abilities. There will be group lessons. We begin our class with warm up
games and stretches and then move on to footwork. Participants are
expected to take private lessons.
- Coach Delgado and
Ina Harizanova will be the
instructor for this class, and is available for private lessons after
6:00 PM.
- All necessary equipment (masks, gloves, weapons and jackets) is
provided for your use by
the club. Wear loose fitting clothing: t-shirt,
sweatpants and sneakers. It is also recommended that students bring a
towel and sports drink.
- Foil Fencing will be the concentration.
- In order to participate, registration fees must be paid on the first
day of class to the instructor.
- This class
is limited to ten children.
