Ed Richards
Former Olympian and two time National Foil Champion |
The Ed Richards Coaches Seminar will be open to all fencers and
coaches. It will include discussion on teaching fencing, becoming a better
coach, the latest coaching techniques, and an open forum for questions.
Topics:
- How to teach fencing.
- Becoming a better coach.
- Open forum for questions.
When:
- Saturday, September 20th, 9 AM to 5 PM
- Sunday, September 21st, 10 AM to 4 PM
Note: We will break from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM for lunch,
both days.
Also, this is a two day event. To get the most out of it, you
should attend both days.
Ed Richards has had a long and successful fencing
career. Just some of his accomplishments are:
- Former Olympian
- Two time National Foil Champion
- World Master Champion; foil individual,
foil team and saber team.
- Member of the National Coaching Staff
since the inception of the program in 1985.
- Staff member of the USFA Junior Elite
Camp Program (1977 through 1980 and 1983 through 1989).
- Four time coach of the Junior World
Team. Coach of numerous Olympic Festival teams.
- Ed teaches at the West
Side Fencing Center in Los Angeles.
