November 25 to December 1, 2002

We are hosting a trip for youth fencers aged 12-16 to compete in the Moscow International Cadet Tournament. The tournament is a FIE B World Cup and all fencing levels are welcome. This trip is timed to coincide with the Thanksgiving school holidays so participants will miss only 2 school days. The trip is all-inclusive as detailed below, and is fully chaperoned and coached by Fencing2000.

This competition represents an excellent opportunity and the honor of representing the United States of America at an International competition. Moreover, this trip is a rare opportunity to train with some of the greatest fencing coaches in the world.

All adult fencers who join us on the trip will have the opportunity to train at the world renown Chartanova Club under the tutelage of Petra Kolobkov (Olympic Gold Medalist, 3 time World Champion, Epee), Anvar Ibragymov (2 time Olympic Gold Medalist, Foil), and Demitri Shevtchenko (2 time World Champion, Foil), and Victor Krovopusko (5 time Olympic Gold Medalist, Sabre).

Daily guided sightseeing and cultural excursions in and around Moscow are included as well. Although space is not limited on this trip, time is of the essence so we need a commitment by Friday, October 12, 2002.

The Trip Details:

6 days/6 nights (leave the U.S. on Nov. 25 and return on the evening of Dec. 1) including hotel (on a double shared basis), breakfast and dinner, fencing instruction, competition fees, chaperone & coach, daily sightseeing, and transportation to and from the airport.

NOT INCLUDED:

· airfare (we are currently negotiating a group rate of approximately $600 per person with the airlines)

· lunch (can be purchased at fencing venue daily)

· passport, visa, fees*

* In order to participate in the Fencing2000 trip to Moscow, you must have a passport and visa before departing the USA. We will assist you in obtaining all your travel documents should you require it.

Parents and siblings are encouraged to attend. The tours to the Kremlin, Red Square and historic museums will make this a great family trip!
